Language of Form

The Language of Form studio was a deep dive into understanding and shaping form in industrial design. Since form is the first thing we perceive in a product, we explored how it influences visual appeal and user experience. Throughout the studio, we developed a strong foundation in form generation and analysis. We studied how different industries use form language and learned to decode and apply those principles in our own work. The hands-on process took us from translating abstract themes into sketches and visual ideas, to creating digital models and eventually building a refined physical prototype. We paid close attention to aspects like proportions, surface quality, and materiality. By the end of the studio, I gained the ability to design forms that are not only visually compelling but also clearly communicate the intent and function of the product. It was an insightful experience that sharpened both my creative and decision-making skills in form development.
