The "Language of Form" studio explores the art of creating and understanding the essence of form in industrial design. Form is the first thing we notice about a product, and it plays a crucial role in making it appealing.
The goal of this studio is to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of form development, enabling them to create aesthetically pleasing designs. Students will learn to analyse and decode the form language used in various industries.
Through a hands-on approach, students will master the entire form development process. This journey begins with translating themes into visualizations, progressing to digital modeling, and culminating in the creation of a physical hard model. Along the way, students will explore key factors such as proportions, surfaces and materials.
By the end of the studio, students will be able to design and develop visually appealing forms, effectively communicating their design ideas. They will be able to effectively communicate their design decisions and solutions.
