Wannabe Amateurs.

Wannabe Amateurs is a narrative-driven interactive experience that explores memory, masculinity, and identity through emerging media. The project reimagines fragments of adolescent boyhood using photogrammetry, point cloud animation, and gesture-responsive systems. Built with TouchDesigner, MediaPipe, and Kinect, it invites users into a non-verbal, immersive environment where symbolic objects—like sneakers, razors, and cigarettes—are animated through proximity and movement. The visuals are textured with analog artifacts like CRT distortion and vinyl crackle, echoing the nostalgia of growing up. At its heart, the work reflects on how boyhood is remembered, performed, and quietly romanticized over time.
