Plato's User - Pieces of Perspective

The "Plato’s User - Pieces of Perspective" studio invites young design students to explore the intersection of photography, filmmaking, and interaction design, guiding them through a multidisciplinary approach to storytelling. The course focuses on deconstructing and reassembling narratives, encouraging students to experiment with fragments—whether visual, auditory, or interactive elements—to construct meaningful, innovative outputs.

Through hands-on projects, students will explore how photography captures still moments, filmmaking creates temporal flows, and interaction design introduces dynamic user engagement. The studio emphasizes the importance of perspective, medium, and the audience’s role in completing a narrative. Students will learn technical skills in each medium and discover how to bridge them, creating cohesive projects that push the boundaries of traditional storytelling.

Key outcomes include the creation of hybrid works—short films, interactive artefacts, or photographic narratives—that experiment with form and function, allowing students to express unique, personal viewpoints. By the end of the course, students will develop a deeper understanding of how these disciplines inform each other, culminating in a final project that demonstrates their ability to weave together different modes of communication.
