Urban solutions in today?s time are very planning and infrastructure-development-centric. In the process, we forget or often turn a blind eye to the complexities of implementation, governance, and service delivery that ultimately determine the success of these interventions. This highlights the critical need for training urban managers who can bridge the gap between vision and execution? professionals equipped to navigate institutional frameworks, manage urban systems, and lead cities toward inclusive, resilient, and responsive development.
Working in close coordination with the city officials of the Municipal Corporation or Municipality applicable for the study, the studio exposes students to municipal services and their delivery, along with governance, municipal finance, citizen engagement, and city branding. Students developed an understanding of municipal services, legislation, and regulations governing these services and equipped themselves with the skills and tools to create efficiencies, design optimal solutions, revenue-generating opportunities and coordinate across sectors to address urban challenges, and implement policies.
