Neer Sutra: Essence of Water in Historic Urban Landscape

The aim of this project is to reimagine and revitalize public spaces within a historic precinct by re-establishing a meaningful connection between people and the water edge. Through sensitive urban interventions, the project seeks to enhance pedestrian accessibility, improve public infrastructure, and foster ecological and social vitality along the water body. The approach emphasizes inclusivity and aims to craft dynamic environments that reflect the unique character of the locale. Honoring the cultural and natural significance of the water’s edge, the initiative promotes a balanced relationship between heritage and contemporary needs, fostering spaces that are not only functional but deeply connected to their environmental and historical context.
