Ahmedabad Development Plan-2041

The Ahmedabad DP 2025 envisions a vibrant, global city—GAUDA—integrating Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. It targets sustainable urbanization through enhanced connectivity, balanced growth and economic diversification. Proposals emphasize green-blue infrastructure, TOD-based transit expansion, heritage conservation, and development of zones like Kadi, Bavla, and Sanand into planned upscale urban hubs with equal access to facilities and opportunities. Key strategies include riverfront extensions, affordable housing incentives, industrial zone expansion, and provision for climate resilience. The plan accommodates for a projected 2041 population of 1.86 crore across 2626 sq.km, thereby leading to a city of celebration while being a city of the future.
