Resilient Rajkot - 2041

Rajkot plays a vital role as an industrial hub, contributing 6.55% to the state’s GDP. Yet, over the past decade, its economy has increasingly shifted toward the service sector. At the same time, the city faces pressing environmental challenge such as limited green spaces, water scarcity, poor stormwater infrastructure, and the declining condition of its waterbodies all highlight the urgent need for better urban ecological planning. Such challenges make a compelling case for steering Rajkot toward a more resilient and adaptive future; one that can withstand long-term stresses while addressing the city's current economic and environmental vulnerabilities.
