CORAL BLEACHING PREDICTION

This project uses satellite-derived sea surface temperature (SST) and chlorophyll-a data to predict coral bleaching in India. Monthly composite rasters from MODIS were analysed to identify trends and forecast conditions for 2026. This study aims to support proactive reef conservation by offering a spatial understanding of thermal stress patterns and potential bleaching hotspots through geospatial modelling techniques.
