The landscape design for Shri Siddhivinayak Temple in Mehemdabad, Ahmedabad, reimagines 10 acres of sacred land into a spiritually immersive, ecologically rich, and culturally rooted experience. The project draws from the concept “Sculpting Spaces”—shaping natural elements to guide movement, emotion, and devotion. It emphasizes a layered planting strategy, integrating 21+ sacred trees (like Peepal, Banyan, and Bel), medicinal plants, tropical ornamentals, native grasses, and erosion-control species to enrich biodiversity and ritual relevance. Zones are designed for distinct functions—ritual processions, quiet meditation, community gatherings, and shaded walks—all tied together through symbolic pathways and accessible circulation. Seasonal change, shade patterns, and plant textures create a multisensory journey tied to Lord Ganesha’s presence. Sustainable water practices, native resilience, and thematic planting anchor the design in both tradition and ecological sensitivity. This landscape aims to become a spiritual and environmental sanctuary for future generations.
