Landscape architecture has many perspectives to designing a space; it can be sculpted with several approaches. The studio will develop an insight in the students to look at landscape design with an established position of keeping biotic networks as an emphasis to sculpt spaces.
Module 1 will investigate and ideate students to look at various variables and constants in developing conceptual ideas that will help them to imagine many ways in which design can be examined and detailed.
In module 2, site of varying scales and typologies will be studied by the students for directing design conceptualization over them. The students will communicate the strategies and complexities in developing the design project, through the lenses they select from their investigation. In the process, quick design alterations will help them abstract many ideas. These concepts will be weaved into a design through program making, spatial adaptation and form.
In the last module, the design will be examined via variables like change in time and materials. The collective outcome will be explored and reviewed for the design in pragmatism.
The studio to certain extent aims to bridge the gap of conceptual explorations of landscape design to building them rationally.
