Making of Piece Of Shit - Stop Motion Animation Film

Inspired by the studio brief, the narrative of this project focused on a world of contrasts—blending humor and harmony with the struggle for survival. Through iterative conceptualization, world-building exercises, and scripting, the story took shape. Each step in the process emphasized the importance of creating a compelling narrative, from crafting nuanced storylines to visualizing the interplay of humour and technique.
The design phase involved creating intricate miniature sets, with innovative techniques like surface development and mixed-media construction applied. These sets became immersive spaces that added depth to the storytelling.  Collaboration was a key aspect of the project. Working closely with teammates allowed us to combine individual strengths to achieve a cohesive vision. The iterative nature of the project—ranging from design iterations to material explorations—underscored the value of adaptability and teamwork in overcoming challenges and refining ideas.  The resulting film is an effort to balance the power of collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving as a team. This portfolio serves as a record of the journey, capturing the processes, insights, and research that shaped this project.
