Solid Waste Management- Part 2

Dholka Nagarpalika, a Class B municipality transitioning toward Class A status, faces growing challenges in solid waste management due to urban expansion. This project aims to establish an efficient, inclusive SWM system covering waste collection, segregation, processing, and disposal. It includes infrastructure upgrades, capacity building, citizen awareness, and adoption of technology for monitoring. The initiative aligns with the 74th Constitutional Amendment, emphasizing decentralized governance, service delivery, and citizen participation. Strengthening Dholka’s SWM will improve sanitation, reduce environmental impact, and prepare the city for future urban demands, ensuring a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable urban environment.
