Passive Comfort Lab

In the Passive Comfort Lab (PC-Lab) course, students learn climate analysis, shading analysis and design, building physics and load calculations, passive design strategies and approaches to different thermal comfort models. They apply this learning to a solar cooker exercise, as well as with building case studies, site visits and literature. Students also learn to geometrically model and simulate buildings at the envelope level with schedules for occupancy and equipment.
