This studio course aims on gaining competency in analytical theories, structural systems and detailing structural drawings. Students will work on small structural systems to understand its behavior under varying conditions. Students will be assigned live projects (individually) for which they will have to translate architectural drawings into structural systems and analyze and design the same. The studio will also invite architects to give inputs on chosen structural systems.The projects assigned will be low rise structure and analysis will be limited to dead and live loads only. The design will be done in with reinforced concrete and steel structural system. Finally students will prepare structural drawings for execution on site.
