This is a design studio course that expects students to design a public institution in an urban context with water as the primary concern. This studio will aim to reconstitute the spatial relationships of people with water through the design of an urban institution connected to local communities. The students will learn to investigate a design brief within a specific environment, articulate designs within the constraints of certain materials, develop skills to translate design ideas into a tangible built space.
