Design research into workings and models of creative community spaces

Creative communities often self organize themselves. There is an
emerging new model of space that is between the home and office. Places to dine, work, gather
around an interest, volunteer etc (that are both online and offline). These are becoming vital
spaces to connect, energise. What makes these spaces successful? How do people/
organisations grow these communities, and engage them? How do these spaces typically fund
and staff themselves? Establishing key lessons from secondary and primary (interviews) that can
help new founders of such creative community spaces to learn from others.
