Concrete Expressions: Visualize and Design

Reinforced Concrete Construction (RCC) has long been favoured in construction for its reliability and versatility. Yet, in the realm of design engineering, there''s a push to redefine its role. It''s not just about following established practices but rather embracing a broader perspective. Future engineers are encouraged to delve into a holistic understanding of RCC, considering both its functional and creative potential.

By the end of the semester, students will be expected to produce thorough sets of construction drawings, demonstrating their ability to translate their thoughts into actionable plans that prioritize both aesthetic and safety considerations.

Learning engineering through prototypes offers a hands-on approach, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations. By designing and building prototypes, students refine their understanding of engineering principles and develop the skills necessary for design.
